About
James Michael Day
Singing pianist, vocalist, producer and entertainer. Most people just call him JMD.
Playing his first gig at 8 years old, James Michael Day is a veteran of the music business. He plays several shows a week across Northern California and has toured the country for Roland Piano Co. and various bands. Well versed in all styles (jazz, classical, country, rock, pop and, when the party calls for it, hip hop), James knows thousands of songs, so come make a request.
He's played to every kind of crowd, including 18,000 raving hockey fans as the former Hammond organist for the San Jose Sharks. He's opened for B.B. King and collaborated with Max Vangeli and Maxx Cabello Jr.
JMD is also an accomplished music producer across many genres, with music featured on TV, video games and corporate videos. He writes custom songs for weddings, anniversaries and memorials, and teaches piano and production lessons in Copperopolis or online.
James co-founded Modern Dueling Pianos and runs JMD Entertainment, a roster of pianists, singers, bands, DJs and karaoke hosts.
